Burke Mountain Bike Park Rules, Polices and Waiver that MUST be signed anytime you are riding the bike park trails.

Bike Park Rules & Policies
- Helmets are required for all riders.
- Every rider must have their own bike.
- Working hand brake system. (Disk brakes recommended)
- Full suspension bikes are recommended while riding the Burke Bike Park trails. Any fully rigid bike is not recommended for riding downhill trails.
- Kids 24" rigid mountain bikes are permitted but not recommended while riding downhill trails.
- Our lift does accommodate Fat Bikes with tires up to 4.8".
- Our lift bike carriers are meant for 20-inch tires and larger.
- If a lift attendant refuses to load a bike, the rider may check in with the rental shop for an inspection.
- Adaptive bikes are welcome.
- Children riding the lift must be able to sit up and close the safety bar on their own, a child cannot be in a backpack.
- Max 4 riders per chair.
- No alcohol or smoking on the chair lift.
- Burke staff has the right to refuse lift access to customers who appear to be impaired.
- Thunder/Lightning Policy: For everyone's safety, the lift and summit shuttle will go on a 30 min hold each time thunder and/or lightning is present.
- No refunds due to weather.
- No uphill travel on bike park trails
- No peddling to the top of Sherburne lift via access road/Roly Grail during park operating hours- 10am-6pm Thursday -Sunday.
- Riders must follow the Mountain Bike Code of Ethics at all times.
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
- Dogs cannot be loaded on the lift.
- Accommodations can be made for service animals. Please see the patrol director/risk manager for your options.
- Unauthorized drones are not allowed anywhere on Burke Mountain Property.

Mountain Biker's Responsibility Code
KNOW AND FOLLOW THE CODE. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!
- STAY IN CONTROL. You're responsible for avoiding objects and people.
- KNOW YOUR LIMITS. Ride within your ability. Start small and work your way up.
- PROTECT YOURSELF. Use an appropriate bike, helmet and protective equipment.
- INSPECT AND MAINTAIN YOUR EQUIPMENT. Know your components and their operation prior to riding.
- BE LIFT SMART. Know how to load, ride and unload lifts safely. Ask if you need help.
- INSPECT THE TRAILS AND FEATURES. Conditions change constantly; plan and adjust your riding accordingly.
- OBEY SIGNS AND WARNINGS. Stay on marked trails only. Keep off closed trails and features. Ride in the direction indicated.
- BE VISIBLE. Do not stop where you obstruct a trail, feature, landing or are not visible.
- LOOK AND YIELD TO OTHERS. Look both ways and yield when entering or crossing a road or trail. When overtaking, use caution and yield to those ahead.
- COOPERATE. If involved in or witness to an incident, identify yourself to staff.
PLEASE NOTE: Bike Patrol is not on duty when bike park operations are closed, call 911 for help.
